About Me:

Dr. Talal Safdar is a graduate of Army Medical College Rawalpindi, served in the Army Medical Corps as a Combat Medic, currently working as a Consultant in Internal Medicine with special interests in Acute Medicine, Rheumatology and Geriatric Medicine. He has a vast plethora of overseas work experience, particularly across various trust hospitals in the National Health Service (NHS) of the United Kingdom. Additionally, he is also appointed as Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at The Foundation University Medical College Islamabad (FUMC) and is a Clinical Supervisor for FCPS postgraduate training in Internal Medicine.

AREAS OF EXPERTISE:His areas of interest and expertise encompasses general and acute medical conditions, as well as chronic long standing medical conditions. He has special interest in Geriatric Medicine / Care of the Elderly backed by his experience of working as a Registrar in the Acute Frailty Unit at The Queen’s Hospital NHS Trust UK. dealing with old age related issues especially falls, dizziness, syncope, incontinence , delirium, sepsis, polypharmacy, old age infections, geriatric psychiatry, memory, sleep and nutritional disorders, acute frailty syndromes, ortho-geriatrics, interface geriatrics, surgical liaison etc to name a few.
