An informative seminar titled “Respiratory Infections – Challenges of current and future environmental hazards” was held by Pathology department at Fauji Foundation Hospital Rwp on 29th January 2024 in collaboration with departments of Pulmonology and Paediatrics. The aim of the event was to educate the participants about common viral infections affecting the population especially children in winter and smog season. The speakers at the seminar discussed important viral pathogens such as Influenza Virus and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), and also elaborated on various diagnostic modalities and rapid tests for early diagnosis of these infections. The event was attended by HoDs, PGTs, House officers and other
Healthcare staff. The seminar was much appreciated by all the participants.
