Orthopaedic
Orthopedic Department of Fauji Foundation Hospital Rawalpindi has:
- 40 bedded ward/Separate,
- 10 private Rooms,
- 2 functional units serving the patients with musculoskeletal trauma and deformities.
The department is led by Professor Brig Dr Muhammad Salim (Retd), and has two professors, one associate professor, two assistant professors and one senior register. The department is recognized by CPSP for FCPS part two training and has been providing services in all subspecialties like arthroplasty, sports surgery, pediatric orthopedic, orthopedic oncology and spine. Two of our senior professors are examiners of CPSP part two examination and four consultants are approved CPSP supervisors for orthopedics fellowship program.
The department is involved in providing 24 hours emergency services for the patients along with daily academic activities of trauma meeting, academic ward rounds with bedside teaching, OPD cases and Operation Theater.
