Core Clinical Services

·         X-Ray (Digital & Portable): Routine imaging, trauma evaluation, chest and musculoskeletal studies, portable bedside imaging for critical care units.

·         Ultrasound (General, Doppler, Obstetric, Pediatric): Abdominal, pelvic,  gynae / obstetric scans, breast, thyroid, ocular ultrasounds, vascular Doppler studies and pediatric imaging.

·         CT Scan (Routine & Contrast Studies): Neuroimaging, chest and abdominal CT, trauma scans, contrast-enhanced studies. Oncology and dedicated vascular imagining.

·         MRI (Orbit, Neuro, Musculoskeletal and Abdominal): Advanced neuroimaging protocols, musculoskeletal soft tissue evaluation for functional and structural assessment. Gynaecological imaging.

·         Mammography: Digital breast imaging for early cancer detection and women’s health screening. Recently established weekly one stop breast clinic for early diagnosis of breast cancer.

·         Fluoroscopy & Contrast Studies: Gastrointestinal tract studies, urological imaging, dynamic swallowing studies, and interventional fluoroscopic procedures.

·         Cardiac CT & CT Angiography: High-resolution imaging of coronary arteries, cardiac structures, and vascular anomalies using the latest 640-slice CT technology.

·         MRI (1.5T Advanced Protocols): Functional MRI diffusion tensor imaging, and specialized neuro protocols. Breast, neuro, MSK, Paeds & body imagining.

·         FFH Radiology deptt is niche deptt for paediatric orbital imagining across Pakistan. In collaboration with al-Shifa Eye trust Hospital, Paediatric deptt, almost the highest no of orbital MRI’s are performed 04 days a week. Our reporting is state of the art. We receive numerous scans for re-reporting. A number of research articles are published and presented in national and international forums on Paeds eye diseases.

·         Interventional Radiology: Image-guided biopsies, drainages, vascular access procedures, and minimally invasive therapeutic interventions.

·         Advanced Doppler & Elastography Services: Vascular Doppler for arterial/venous evaluation, liver elastography for fibrosis, breast and thyroid, elastography for detection of aggrestive diseases, and advanced obstetric Doppler for fetal well-being.

·         24/7 Emergency Imaging Support: Round-the-clock CT, X-ray, and ultrasound services for emergency, trauma, and critical care patients.

Monthly CME Activity
We are proud to be a progressive and growing Radiology Department within a tertiary care teaching hospital. Our Head of Department has recently achieved Fellowship from the prestigious Royal College of Radiologists (London). Following in her footsteps, many consultants and postgraduate trainees are actively pursuing this distinguished qualification.

MDTs
Hepatobiliary Pediatric, Pulmonology, Neurology, Rheumatology multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings are conducted monthly in the department, ensuring collaborative patient care and academic excellence.
